The Nikon F3 has a tripod socket lined up with the centre of the lens, as you’d expect. But if you add an MD-4 motor drive? Oopsie daisy haha, the tripod socket is off on the side somewhere, sorry about that, I am just a silly widdle camera company UwU

Don’t worry though because Nikon will sell you the AH-2, an accessory that will move the tripod mount back to the centre. Why not just make the tripod mount centred on an MD-4? I think you already know the answer.
