This standard zoom lens covers focal lengths from 28mm to 105mm and allows a large aperture of f/2.8 at 28mm focal length. It is very convenient for indoor or evening photography.

From 28mm wide to 105mm tele range this zoom lens has 50cm (19.7 in.) minimum focusing distance. It has also maximum magnification of 1:5.5.

The use of an aspherical lens reduces various aberrations and improves optical performance. It also allows a large aperture of f/2.8 in a compact body.

Sigma’s unique four-group zoom system satisfactorily compensates for astigmatic aberration and distortion aberration throughout the zoom range. As the front of the lens does not rotate, circular polarizing filters and a petal-type hood can easily be used.
