Long DescriptionThe EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Lens from Canonis a high performance, water-resistant,ultra wide-angle L-series zoomlens. An f/2.8 maximum aperture is effective in low light situations andoffers shallow depth of field focus control. The optical design hasbeen improved to offer better edge-to-edge image quality. In addition,it features 3 high-precision aspherical lens elements, each of adifferent type: ground, replica and GMo. Its ultrasonic motor (USM) andimproved AF algorithms will help the lens to focus faster and quieter.Precise manual focus is supported even in One Shot AF mode and a trulyround aperture results in pleasing background blur.

All of the “L”lenses deliver optical performance equal to similar fixed focal lengthslenses and provide tight seal structures for dust and water resistance.Distortions and aberrations are remarkably small for a lens of suchamazing capabilities. An included petal-style lens hood keeps unwantedlight from entering the lens and causing flare and it offers a degree ofprotection against impact and the elements.

Ultra-low dispersion glass and three high-precision aspherical lens elements, each of a different type: ground, replica and GMo minimize aberrations and improve overall image quality. A ring-type Ultrasonic motor (USM) provides quiet, fast, precision auto focusing and predictive tracking. Full-time manual focus override (even in AF mode) is supported. Circular aperture diaphragm produces brilliant out-of-focus characteristics. A petal-type lens hood is included.
