The Canon New F-1 was Canon’s last professional manual-focus film camera, and they did a heck of a job: along with a very heavy brass body in a grippy matte finish, the F-1 also has an electronically-timed shutter with speeds from 8 secondsto 1/2000s and a wonderfully bright laser-matte focusing screen that is nearly unmatched. It’s probably Canon’s best SLR, and that’s saying something. This F-1 includes the lower profile standard viewfinder, which still provides metering but does not enable aperture-priority AE. All caps are present, and while there is some light brassing on the body, it’s in great shape overall. Shutter speeds and metering are accurate, light seals are good.
