The Ermanox or Er-Nox for the first model was developed by Ernemann in 1924 especially for available light. The compact camera for plates 4.5x6cm used a very fast, specially designed 2/10cm Ernostar lens (later models a 1.8/10cm lens). The focal-plane shutter had a 1/1000 sec top speed. Larger models to 9x12cm (with collapsible bellows) were available, but they are due to the high buying price very scarce. Photographers like Erich Salomon used the Ermanox for famous photographs. — Very rare and early first model Er-Nox (ErnemannNight) with heavy focusing mount milled from solid brass. While the later Ermanox weights just 1,000gr, this camera weights 1,600gr. With very early Ernostar 2/10cm no.150287 (with clean optics). In fine condition with working shutter. — B+ — 1924 — 1235814
