Ensuring Edge-to-edge Sharpness

In order to maintain uniform images with edge-to-edge sharpness, the Fujifilm 16-55mm lens has a nine-blade diaphragm and is made up of 17 elements in 12 groups. Including three aspherical elements to help battle distortion and spherical aberrations as well as three extra-low dispersion elements to ensure there are no chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range.
