The Mamiya RZ67 is a big, heavy medium format camera that shoots 6x7cm images on 120 format film. While it’s maybe not the #1 best choice to take along on a brisk casual hike, it’s certainly capable of some interesting things: The rotating back allows for landscape or horizontal shots without tilting the whole camera, and the built-in bellows focusing system provides exceptional close-up capability without any extra hardware. This RZ is in good cosmetic condition, with some paint and finish wear from normal use and handling. Most notably, there’s a crack near the top of the focusing screen. This isn’t a dropped camera issue- there’s no impact damage anywhere, of course- but it might have been a dropped screen issue. Either way, in landscape mode, the crack is outside the field of view, and it’s only a small distraction in portrait mode. It’s worth noting that the focusing screen won’t interfere with the actual pictures. Anyway, that’s the biggest issue. Light seals are intact, focusing is smooth, and the included Mamiya-Sekor Z 110mm f2.8 lens has a good shutter and minor dust. This RZ isn’t perfect, but it’s a good working camera in pretty solid shape.
