The Otect M-Cap for Leica 12464 and 12465 Lens Hoods is aCNC machined aluminum lens capdesigned to fit the lens hoods for the following lenses:

1. Leica Super-Elmar-M 21mm f/3.4 ASPH (catalog number11145)
2. Leica Elmar-M 24mm f/3.8 ASPH (catalog number 11648)
3. Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH FLE(catalog numbers 11663 & 11675)

This replaces the factory Leica 14212 lens hood cap, which is notorious for falling off easily.

Precision machined from aerospace grade aluminumin the Netherlands, and hard anodizedin a deep black for the best protection and color,the Otect M-Capfeatures a unique locking mechanismfor an incrediblysecurefit to the lens hood.Two tabssnap into the inner surfaces of the lens hood for a strong positive lock that leaves no play between the hood and the cap.

When the cap is installed, theviewfinder cutout on the lens hood is alsoclosed off andcovered from the elements by a 3D feature that follows the curves of the lens hood perfectly.

The front features no branding for a discrete, stealthy look which blends right in to the aesthetics of the lens.Thesurfaces of the cap are perfectly planar with the surfaces of the hood so this just feels like an extension of the lens.

The super slim design adds less than 2mm to the length of the lens when installed.
