Panasonic have incorporated 16 elements in 12 groups, including two aspherical lenses and four ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses. The elements have been strategically placed to ensure optimum image-quality is uniform throughout the focal range.

• Aspherical lenses reduce the size and weight of the lens and overall prevents spherical and distortion aberration.
• ED lenses combat and correct chromatic aberration to ensure the lens renders edge-to-edge sharpness and high contrast images.
