The Swarovski STR-80 HD 80mm Spotting Scope (Straight Viewing, Requires Eyepiece, MRAD Reticle) features a large aperture for maximum light gathering. This makes it easier to use, even in difficult lighting conditions.

This version of the Swarovski STR-80 HD 80mm Spotting Scope is fitted with a modified duplex ranging reticle with 0.5 MRAD indicators along with stadia to assist in range and target size estimations, you will also find ballistic drop compensation for long-distance shots. Running on a single CR123 battery, you will have up to 1300 hours of runtime. The reticle is illuminated in red in 15 intensities, 10 for daytime use, and 5 dedicated for nighttime.

The Swarovski STR-80 HD 80mm Spotting Scope features extra-low dispersion (ED) fluorine HD glass specifically designed to produce bright, clear views with accurate colour reproduction. To further improve colour, clarity, resolution and contrast, the front glass elements feature SWAROTOP, SWAROCLEAN and SWARODUR optical coatings that maximise light transmission while making them scratch resistant and easy to clean. Either the Swarovski 20-60x Zoom Spotting Scope Eyepiece or the Swarovski 25-50x W Wide-Angle Zoom Eyepiece (not included) are compatible with the STR-80. To enable faster and easier tracking, the eyepiece is set in line with the optical tube for straight-through viewing.

The Swarovski STR-80 HD 80mm Spotting Scope (Straight Viewing, Requires Eyepiece, MRAD Reticle) features a lightweight and durable aluminium chassis wrapped in rubber armour for additional protection from bumps and impacts, further giving a slip-resistant texture for easy and convenient handling. A rotating tripod collar is equipped with both 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads to be compatible with most photo, video, and field tripods and other support systems.

The optical tube is nitrogen-filled, along with an O-Ring sealing to make it waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or environmental conditions.
