The Velbon CX440 is arelatively well made basic tripod for film or digital cameras. It’s definitely better than your average drugstore tripod, in that it’s made by a companythatunderstands what a tripod is and what it’s used for. Butthe CX440 isstill fairly lightweight, with a plastic head and leg locks, which are not going to stand up to medium or large format use. Nevertheless, it extends to eye level, and it’s in very good condition.
